The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 56 new cases of coronavirus Tuesday. The statewide total is now 36,332. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Nineteen new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Tuesday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 55 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.1%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
A total of 2,327 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 500 have died.
To date, a total of 1,538,504 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide.
